Cobblestone Farms Custom Home
Completed in May 2012 this home heating and cooling system has many options. Vertical loop geothermal, in-floor radiant heat, air handlers for air conditioning and a backup hi-efficient boiler.
Finished Mechanical shows the attention to detail that CMR Mechanical shows on all projects big or small.
Project started with 2" Foam insulation under the basement.
Pex tubing is positioned on the insulation for maximum efficiency and heat transfer.
Upstairs pex tubing is installed in panels that transfer heat to hardwood flooring
In the mechanical room piping begins on the boiler system. The boiler provided heat during construction and serves as a back up source of heat for domestic hot water and for the home.
The beginning of piping for the heating system. the home has several zones, each zone serves a different area of the home with different flooring materials.
Buffer (water) tanks are installed for storage of hot water. A chilled water tank is also utilized for storage of cold water.
Air Handlers distribute cool conditioned air throughout the home on those hot summer days.
Vertical wells for the geothermal system are drilled. Geothermal is by far the most economical method of heating and cooling this home.
